This Course is entry Level 1 for both Adults and Teenagers
Ever wanted to learn to sail? Now is the time
Are you an adult who wants to give sailing a go or an adult who has often wondered? Or perhaps you are a parent who wants to learn to sail with a child?
For teenagers & adults learning to sail can be a mission. The traditional way is to put them in a small single-handed dinghy to coach them. However while this may be ok for the smaller teens, often they are growing quickly and soon are too small for the boat.
This is where our fleet of Fevas and RS Quest comes into play. Because they are bigger boats we can team up sailors with other teens to learn to sail together in our Beginners Fevas.
Initially, the basics are taught in our RS Quest which can take 3 sailors and a coach. They then progress to their own Feva and swap between crewing and helming which gives a great overall understanding of sailing.
We start our Learn to Sail course with RS Quests.
The reason for this is that the Quest is a lot more comfortable for the more mature sailor moving forward. The Course Content is exactly the same moving ward and at the end, you will be able to sail the boat without an instructor.
As you move on you are more than welcome to try to sail one of our RS Fevas
